On 13 November 2015 Osaka City University concluded an international academic exchange agreement with Dalian University in the People’s Republic of China in order to stimulate collaboration projects in education and research.

The new university-wide agreement was preceded by a faculty-level Memorandum of Agreement of the OCU Faculty and Graduate School of Medicine with Dalian University, concluded in December 2014, which first opened up possibilities for academic exchange. As a result of that Memorandum, both university hospitals (Osaka City University Hospital and Dalian University Affilated Zhongshan Hospital) reached further agreement to cooperate in June 2015.

The current university-wide agreement will expand the opportunities for exchange to all university departments, increasing the exchange possibilities for students at both sides. It is our hope that other departments will take the example of the close cooperation already existing between the Medical departments.
